Job Description
The IT support position is responsible for managing and supporting the company’s IT infrastructure, spanning endpoint devices, network systems, virtual environments, and storage solutions. This role includes both hands-on technical support for daily operations and high-level management of critical systems to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and security. The IT Systems Engineer will work closely with other team members to resolve issues, implement improvements, and drive IT projects forward.
Key Responsibilities
Provide support for Microsoft Intune and manage endpoint devices (desktops/laptops).
Manage and maintain the company’s VMWare environment, including ESXi hosts and VMs.
Perform basic systems administration tasks, such as user management in Microsoft 365.
Administer and troubleshoot Windows virtual machines, including IIS and SQL servers.
Assist in managing and troubleshooting network devices (switches, firewalls) and resolving connectivity issues.
Maintain storage systems (PURE SAN) to ensure data availability and performance.
Oversee Veeam backup operations and ensure disaster recovery readiness.
Conduct system performance monitoring, capacity planning, and optimization.
Provide high-level technical troubleshooting and collaborate with the IT team on network and security enhancements.
Monitor and respond to system performance issues and implement improvements as needed.
Maintain up-to-date documentation for system configurations, policies, and infrastructure components.
Required skills & experience
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in systems administration or IT support, with expertise in VMWare and Windows environments. Familiarity with Microsoft Intune, Microsoft 365, and networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Cisco). Expertise in storage solutions (PURE SAN), backup solutions (Veeam), and disaster recovery planning. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across network, virtual machine, and infrastructure components. Certifications such as VCP, MCSE, CompTIA Network+, or ITIL Foundation are a plus.
